The book of Acts, or the Actions of The Holy Spirit takes us on journey through the birth of the Christian church.  From Pentecost to the ultimate sacrifice of Stephen, and the conversion of Saul, Luke, a physician who accompanied Paul on several of his missionary ventures, set out to deliberately and accurately records the supernatural yet profoundly human beginnings of Christianity.

He wrote not as an evangelist, but as a historian. Luke wants us to understand the story of Jesus, from its roots in Old Testament prophecy, through its authentication by miracles, to its far-reaching spread by eyewitnesses of His resurrection.
